Understanding Prevue Benchmarks
Learn how Prevue Benchmarks are developed and the methods used to define successful candidate profiles.

At Prevue, we create custom job-specific profiles through our benchmarking process to identify the key qualities of ideal employees for your organization. By understanding your company’s nature and the requirements for success, we use scientifically validated methods to match you with the most suitable candidates.
The more detailed information we gather about your company, culture, and positions, the more accurate our benchmarks will be.
Our Benchmarking Methods
Benchmark Library
Our team of psychologists has developed a comprehensive portfolio of job descriptions with validated benchmarks from decades of research. We work with you to select the best-fitting job description for your role. However, since these benchmarks do not account for your company’s unique culture, we recommend reviewing and updating them every three months.
Top Performer Study
This method involves having your top employees, who are currently in the role, take our assessment. The benchmarks are then based on their test results, providing a model of success specific to your organization. This study requires a minimum of two participants.
Job Description Survey
This survey is conducted by individuals who are familiar with the role, such as hiring managers. This method is ideal for new positions where a Top Performer Study may not be feasible. We suggest this survey be completed by 1 to 5 knowledgeable individuals to help build an accurate benchmark.
Combined Study
Our most accurate benchmarking method combines a Job Description Survey and a Top Performer Study. While it takes longer to complete, it provides the most comprehensive results. We recommend having 1 to 5 hiring managers or knowledgeable individuals take a 10-minute survey, along with 3 to 5 current top-performing employees completing our job-fit assessment.
